The deadly combination of Kamal Haasan and Venkatesh in the film Eenadu presented joyful moments to the Telugu film industry fraternity when its logo was formally launched at Taj Banjara hotel in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Marked by fanfare, the event was attended by former Union Minister and Tollywood’s senior figure Dasari Narayana Rao and D Ramanaidu as the prime personalities.
The lead cast Kamal Hassan and Venkatesh stole the limelight at the gathering. The gathering included Chakri Toleti (director), Neelakanta, Srinu Vytla, Daggupati Rana and others.
Venkatesh felt elated to be working with Kamal Hassan and said: “I was always guided by the dexterity of Kamal Hassan garu whenever the opportunity so demands that I should be emotional for the screen. I believe that the audience would sure find resemblance to the famed actor when I got to such scenes. It thrills me to have him as an everlasting source of inspiration.”
Dasari said: “Kamal Hassan is one and the only actor who dares and challenges in filmmaking. His experiments paved way for a new innovation in the South Indian film industry. Generally, the career of an actor would have just a couple of films to speak of the greatness of his career, but it is not so with Kamal. He is one actor who wields more than 50 movies as blockbusters in his career.”
Dasari complemented Venkatesh to be part of the film, playing alongside the great actor Kamal, bringing a new lease of life to the multi-starrer films, which had become obsolete these days.
Popular writer Parachuri Venkateshwar Rao observed that in the yesteryears a film with the same title as Eenadu was made with Krishna in the main lead and it was a runaway hit. He hoped that this film, which had already become a trendsetter in Bollywood would bring new genre of entertainment to the Telugu audiences.
Seenu Vytla stated that Kamal Hassan had come to be the byword for Cinema and the vice versa. He congratulated the director Chakri for his early opportunity to direct stalwarts like Kamal, Venky and Mohan Lal.
