Ram Gopal Varma plans to make a political drama RAKTA CHARITRA on the life of Telugu Desam Party ( TDP ) MLA Paritala Ravindra Ex-MLA of PENUKONDA -(Anantapur district) . Vivek Oberai Play the Dashing role of Paritala Ravindra . Tamil Actor Surya acting as bambula suri ( Maddela cheru suri ) . Rakta Charitra is a forthcoming bilingual Indian Film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, made in Hindi and Telugu Languages. As the entire film is said to last for about 5 hours, the film will be divided into two parts, which will be releasing within three months gap. The film is said to depict the life of the slain political leader Paritala Ravindra. All the versions star Vivek Oberoi in the lead role as Paritala Ravi. Tamil actor Surya Sivakumar enacts the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri in both versions hence making his Bollywood debut, whilst Mohan Babu is playing N.T.Rama Rao’s role in This movie. The film, currently in its production stage, will be released in late 2010.

“Rakta Charitra’ is based on the life of Paritala Ravi. according to Ram gopal varma "I have interviewed Paritala Ravi’s followers and also his enemy Madella Cheruvu Suri to get a true and authentic picture. Vivek Oberoi and Surya will be portraying the roles of Paritala Ravi and Muddela Suri, respectively. Mohan Babu will be playing the role of NTR. The film will be made into two parts ‘Rakta Charitra part I and II’. The entire movie will be shot in Hyderabad and Anantapur.
