Mohan Babu's comeback movie Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda (PPT) starring Manchu Manoj and Vishnu, has turned out to be a big money spinner for Sree Lakshmi Prasanna and Twenty Four Frames Factory. The film goers were enthralled with the PPT brew. The ticket sales of the film, which is a complete family entertainer, is outstanding at both multiplexes and single screens even on weekdays. With families thronging to theaters, Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda recorded a strong opening at the Box Office on the first day of the weekday and predicted to continue the run. The Manchu's perfectly etched role entertained the audience every single moment in theaters since its release on 31st January 2014.
Naidu (Mohan Babu) is a tour guide in Payyata (Thailand) and is a father of three children (Manoj Manchu, Varun Sandesh and Tanish). He meets his old flame (Raveena Tandon) in Pattaya who is also a mother of two kids (Vishnu Manchu & Vennela Kishore). Meanwhile, a gang is searching for Honey (Hansika Motwani) relentlessly. Just as Naidu and his old flame clear up the misconception and unite themselves, Honey gets kidnapped. The rest of the story is all about how the pandavulu enters Kaurava’s place under disguise to get Honey back.
Actors: This film totally belongs to three actors Mohan Babu, Manoj and Vishnu. Mohan Babu plays the role of Naidu that has different shades like a doting father and a strategist. And has two different get-ups: a tour guide (first half) and an astrologer (second half). Vishnu looks very good in action episodes and his chemistry with actress Hansika is nice. It’s Manoj Manchu steals the show with Mohini character in the second half. He plays a character that has three different dimensions - a conman, a lady and a cop. He has shown nice variations in these three characters. His portrayal of Mohini character is superb. Varun Sandesh does a character who has the knack of coming up with hatke one-liners. Tanish plays the role of a mute guy and is alright. Hansika Motwani adds glamor with her looks. Praneetha looks good as modern girl. Raveena Tandon is paired up with Mohan Babu and made a re-entry into Telugu after a huge gap. Brahmanandam is entertaining as Bapure - a Telugu language/culture lover. Vennela Kishore had less screen space, but does well. Supreet will get a break as comedian with this movie as his character is well written for entertainment in the second half. Dasari Narayana Rao did a cameo as Raveena Tandon’s father in flashback episode. Telangana Sakuntala is good though she acted in a couple of scenes. Rukesh Mukhi, Shravan, Giri Babu and others are adequate.
Analysis

Plus points of the film are main leads, screenplay in second half and the lady get-up of Manoj Manchu. Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda is a kind of film that caters to everybody. With entertainment as it’s strength in the second half, the prospects of Pandavulu Pandavulu are good at box office.
Heart Attack is a romantic action entertainer with all masala elements to impress mass audience. Nitin's excellent performance is the main highlight. Puri Jagannadh's engrossing screenplay and few punch dialogues, Anoop Rubens' trendy soundtracks, and background score, Amol Rathod's brilliant camerawork, Adah Sharma's glamour, Brahmanandam's rib tickling comedy, beautiful costumes and locales are its other attractions. Puri Jagannadh has opted for a routine romance drama, but he has written an engaging screenplay for Heart Attack, which has fare amount of twists and turns to keep you glued on to the screen.
The director, who is master in making formulaic movies, managed to include commercial ingredients like romance, action, comedy, dialogues and family drama, which will definitely impress all classes of audience. Heart Attack opens with a beautifully-shot beach song and heads to introduce lead characters.
The first part of the movie has three songs, one fight and Brahmi's titanic comedy scene, which will keep you engaged. In the second half, there are a few interesting twists in the story, two songs, Ali's comedy and a fight scene to entertain you. The climax is good, but it is predictable. Varun (Nitin) is a happy go lucky boy, who comes to Spain to help Hayathi's (Adah Sharma) friend Priya to get married with an African. But he falls in the love with Hayathi at first sight. She does not like him at first. She slowly develops liking for him. After helping Priya to get married, he reveals that he does not love her. Heart-broken Hayathi returns India to help her father. Later, Varun realises that he truly loves.
What happens next will form the crux of the story. Nitin has given brilliant performance in Heart Attack and he impresses you in all kind of scenes like romance, action, dance and sentiment. With his trendy costumes, the actor has definitely set a new style statement for himself. Adah Sharma, who debuts in Tollywood with this film, has also done her best and she impresses you with glamour in song sequences. Brahmanandam and Ali tickles your funny bones in scenes. Kesha Khambhati, who has played another female lead, has also delivered her best. The movie has excellent production elements and Anoop Rubens' music, Amol Rathod's picturisation, exotic locales, Puri's dialogues and SR Shekhar's editing are the major attractions in the technical front. Overall, Heart Attack is much better than Puri Jagannadh's previous directorial ventures and it is paisa vasool entertainer.
After working with biggies like Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun, Puri Jagannadh has now chosen actor Nitin for his latest directorial venture Heart Attack, which has hit the marque today (January 31). It is a formulaic movie made in Puri's style. The lead actors' performances and rich production are the big assets of the movie.
Legendary Music director Keeravani (marakatha mani in Tamil) (MM Kreem in Hindi) is all set to take rest from December 8th, 2016. He is retiring from work on that day. Keeravani worked for Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi cinema and won several accolades like National Film Award for Best Music Direction, eight Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards, four Filmfare Awards South and a Tamil Nadu State Film Award. He worked with stalwarts like K. Vishwanath, K. Balachander and Bharathan very early in his career.

Hyderabad, Banjarahills, From a poor farmer’s son to one of the most loved and respected actors of Indian cinema, Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s journey, which lasted over seven decades, could very well make an interesting story of a film.
Nageswara Rao, who as a youngster walked bare foot in Gudivada in Krishna district of coastal Andhra, rose to the dizzy heights of stardom and became a symbol of the Telugu film industry, or Tollywood as it is popularly called sometimes.
ANR, as fans fondly called him, died of cancer at a private hospital here in the early hours of Wednesday, plunging the industry into gloom. He was 89 and is survived by three daughters and two sons, including popular actor Nagarjuna.
ANR was the last of the most popular first generation actors of Telugu cinema and was considered one of the two all-time greats of Telugu cinema, the other being N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) who died in 1996.
Rao started his career as an actor in theatre when he was just nine. In the initial years of his career, he even played female characters.
His passion for cinema was spotted by his mother at a very young age.
“I dropped out of school because my family couldn’t afford it. I used to help my mother at her work, but at leisure, I used to stand in front of the mirror and act,” Rao told IANS in his interview last year.
“My mother noticed my interest in acting and asked my brother to introduce me to the local theatre group. I can’t even think of what I would have been if not an actor,” he had said.
Rao’s was truly a rags-to-riches story. He made his cinematic debut in 1941 Telugu film “Dharmapatni” with a brief role, and in 1944 he was picked up from the platform of Bezawada (now Vijayawada) railway station and signed on to play the lead role in Telugu drama “Sitarama Jananam”.
Rao never hesitated to play a variety of roles, such as a villager, an urban educated protagonist, a tragic hero and even a comedian, to sustain his popularity over the years. He believed in longevity and, therefore, constantly chose to play different roles as he never wanted the audience to get bored of seeing him on screen.
While Rao will be remembered for many wonderful films such as “Devadasu”, “Mayabazar”, “Dr. Chakravarthy” and “Muga Manasulu”, “Sudigundaalu”, “Antastulu” and “Meghasandesam”, Rao’s best work was in “Batasari” and “Devadasu”.
“I still consider ‘Batasari’ as one of my finest performances in my career. There was only one page of dialogue in the whole picture and the role demanded maximum use of expressions,” he had told IANS in the interview.
Despite strong criticism, Rao acted in “Devadasu”, only to be catapulted to the status of Telugu cinema’s first romantic hero. The strong criticism made him all the more eager to prove himself with the film.
In 1966 Telugu drama “Navaratri”, Rao essayed nine different roles and earned critical acclaim for his performance. The film was later remade in Hindi as “Naya Din Nayi Raat” with Sanjeev Kumar.
Mostly remembered for his romantic roles in “Laila Majnu”, “Anarkali” and “Prem Nagar”, Rao also starred and proved his mettle in several mythological characters in “Mayabazar”, “Mahakavi Kalidasu” and “Bhakta Tukaram”, “Sri Ramadasu” and “Sri Rama Rajyam”.
In his 74-year long illustrious career, he starred in about 235 Telugu films, besides 20 Tamil and one Hindi. Some of his best Tamil films include “Anbumagan”, “Kanal Neer” and “Pen Manam”.
Although he was enjoying a successful career in Tamil industry too, Rao shifted base to Hyderabad to ensure longevity in Telugu filmdom. Also he wanted his children to learn and speak their mother-tongue.
A true disciplinarian in both reel and real life, Rao succeeded because of passion and devotion. He believed as an actor one shoulders lot of responsibility, and, therefore, he or she should always be careful about his or her actions both in films and in public life.
He was instrumental in setting up one of the biggest studios in India. Named after his late wife, Annapurna Studios will remain the thespian’s biggest gift to the Indian cinema.
The veteran, who studied only up to fifth standard, also set up a film school as he believed in the philosophy of giving back to the society.
Rao bagged three Filmfare awards for the best actor for his role in “Marapurani Manishi” (1973), “Seetharamaiah Gari Manavaralu” (1991) and “Bangaru Kutumbam” (1994). He also won two Nandi awards for best actor for “Meghasandesam” (1982) and “Bangaru Kutumbam” (1994).
He was recipient of many awards, including the Padma Vibushan, the second highest civilian award of the country, and the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, the highest individual lifetime achievement award for films.
Rao’s last film was Telugu family drama “Manam” with son Nagarjuna and grandson Naga Chaitanya. The film is slated for release this year.
Rao called a press conference in October last year to announce that he was diagnosed with cancer. He refused to take questions, saying he doesn’t want any sympathy. Claiming that he has strong will, he said wanted to live up to 100 years with the good wishes of his fans. The destiny willed otherwise.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Attarintiki Daredi, which faced many challenges before its release has completed 100-day run in record number of 32 screens. After the film was leaked online, producer BVSN Prasad got the film released quickly in record number of screens in Andhra Pradesh, neighboring states and overseas . The Pawan Kalyan and Samantha starred received overwhelming response at the Box Office and has earned the distinction of being the highest grosser in Telugu cinema!

"Attarintiki Daredi" has earned over ₹22 crore in its opening weekend at the Andhra Pradesh box office, according to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The Pawan starrer created an all-time record, raking in around ₹10.72 crore on its first day. The film's collections dropped on the second and third day, minting ₹5.74 crore and ₹5.72 crore, respectively.
The breakup of the third day collections: ₹2.20 crore in Nizam, ₹1.05 crore in Ceded, ₹55 lakh in Vizag, ₹49 lakh in Guntur, ₹46 lakh in Krishna, ₹39 lakh in East, ₹36 lakh in West and ₹22 lakh in Nellore. Total collections of day 3 is ₹5.72 crore and opening weekend collections stand at ₹22.18 crore.
"Attarintiki Daredi" (AD) will soon surpass the collections of some of the biggest Telugu hits of 2013. Venkatesh-Mahesh Babu's "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" (SVSC) earned approximately ₹25 crore in the first week of its release. But "Attarintiki Daredi", which has grossed around ₹22 crore in its first weekend, is expected to earn more than "SVSC" in less than a week.
Jr NTR's "Baadshah" minted around ₹24 crore during the first week in the state. "AD" will easily surpass the collections in less than five days. "AD" has reportedly performed better than other big releases of 2013, including Ram Charan's "Naayak" and Prabhas's "Mirchi."
Tamil Nadu
"AD" has recorded the biggest ever opening for a Telugu film in Tamil Nadu. According to senior film journalist Sreedhar Pillai, the family entertainer earned ₹1.08 crore from 41 screens in its first weekend. The film has broken all box office records and emerged as the highest grossing opener for a Telugu film.
Karnataka
The Pawan Kalyan film is doing fantastic business, despite new releases. According to trade analysts, "AD" fetched around ₹2.5 crore in the state, which is also an all-time record.
The Pawan starrer raked in over ₹5 crore in two days of its release including Thursday previews. The film has earned around ₹10 crore in its first weekend.
"AD" has been placed in the list of "top 15 grossers this weekend" at the North American box office. Prior to the film's release, only two Hindi films - "Chennai Express" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", made it to the list.
"AD" has earned a whopping amount in its debut weekend at the US box office, which most Hindi films have not collected in its entire lifetime from overseas markets, Taran said.
The first teaser of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil period-drama "Kochadaiyaan"is out.
The film will feature Rajinikanth in dual role, while Sarath Kumar, Shobana, Aadi Pinisetty and Nassar will be seen in important roles.
Also starring Deepika Padukone and Jackie Shroff, "Kochadaiyaan" is touted to be India's first motion capture technology film being made along the lines of Hollywood films like "Avatar" and "Tin Tin".
Reportedly being made on a budget of over Rs.100 crore, "Kochadaiyaan" is directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Ashwin and jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment.
The film will be dubbed in Telugu as "Vikrama Simha". It will also dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam and foreign languages such as Japanese, Italian and Spanish.

Mahesh Babu, on Wednesday, said that his son Gautham Krishna might
act in his upcoming movie No 1, Nenokkadine. He mentioned that his son
might act in the flashback episode of the movie.
The movie No 1, Nenokkadine is directed by Sukumar, and the trailer and
initial poster was released recently. He mentioned that the movie will
have a strong story line and there are chances for his son to act in it.
When asked if he would want to remake any of his father's movies. He
denied saying, all his fathers movies are priceless and they cannot be
remade. He also said he does not want to spoil those movie by trying to
remake them.
Mahesh had acted in many movies with his father Superstar Krishna. He
seem to be taking his son in the same path by making him get used to the
film industry. Does this mean his son will enter Telugu film industry
when he grows up just like his father? We just have to wait and watch.
For now, we hope we get to watch the little Prince on silver screen.

Sanju (Allu Arjun) is a guitarist who operates a band in Barcelona. Komali (Amala Paul) goes to Barcelona to learn more about violin in an university. Akanksha (Catherina Tresa) is the daughter of a central minister. She comes to Barcelona for studies. Akanksha gets hold of a diary in which she reads the love story between Sanju and Komali. In the process, she gets interested in Sanju and falls in love with him as he seems to be single. The rest of the story is all about what happened to Komali.
Artists Performance
Allu Arjun: Allu Arjun has come up with fantastic looks and intense expressions for this movie. He has got nice mass mannerism which he has used it to full extent. The interval fight in which he gives an expression that he is going to kill everybody is really good. He comes up with mass as well as sophisticated steps. The steps in Top Lechipoddi are of top-notch. Mega fans will have a moment to cherish as Allu Arjun dances for Gang Leader title song. There are reference dialogues of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan.
iddarammailathoOthers: Amapa Paul is adorable as a traditional Brahmin girl. Catherine Tresa looks very glamorous and dances pretty well. With a bit of fine-tuning she can become big in Telugu films. Brahmanandam has done the role of music teacher in a foreign university. He entertains in the first half. However, the separate comedy track of Brahmanandam and Ali reminds us of 90’s routine comedy tracks. Shawar Ali is okay as the main villain. Subbaraju has done the role of a villain brother and it’s a typical role for him. Tanikella Bhrani, Rao Ramesh, Nassar, Pragati, Priya, Tulasi etc did the roles of parents of main leads. Srinivas Reddy is wasted in a dialogue-less role.
Final Analysis
First half of the film is entertaining. The beginning of second half meanders due to lack of story (all time-pass scenes like Brahmanandam-Ali are inserted). Movie has an interesting twist towards the climax. Plus points are Allu Arjun, Iddarammayilu (Amala Paul & Catherin), Puri’s dialogues and technical aspects. On the flipside, emotions didn't work. A screenplay with direct hero/villain conflict established to audiences at the beginning would have made the movie more interesting. On a whole, Iddarammailatho is a slick flick with romance and action thrown in. We need to wait and see how audiences embrace the movie.
There is no denying, however, that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is gorgeously filmed, the locations are eye-popping, and the guys and dolls that people the tale are a bunch of attractive people.
The two lead actors, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, do make a fetching onscreen pair. And they are well complemented by Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin.
The characters spout familiar platitudes to each other: live your dream, get a life and move on, stop pitying yourself and learn to love thyself…We have seen and heard it all before.
In the first half of the film, four happy-go-lucky school buddies with superficially defined traits reunite to go on a trekking trip to Manali and beyond.
Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) is footloose and dreams of exploring the world. Aditi (Kalki Koechlin) is wild and fancy-free. Avi (Aditya Roy Kapur) is a drifter happy to blow up his cash on cricket bets.
Naina (Deepika Padukone) is the odd one out. She is a bespectacled and sedate medical student. She joins the gang in an act of impulsive defiance but cannot break away from her neuro-immunology textbook even as the rest of the traveling party live it up on the road.
By the end of the adventure-filled sojourn through the ups and downs of the undulating landscape, each of the four is transformed a little, but only to go his/her way.
Eight years later, one of the two girls in the group, Aditi, decides to marry a straight-laced engineer (Kunaal Roy Kapur) and her old friends descend on a resort in Udaipur for the grand betrothal.
And like they did the first time around, they come and go talking about love, friendship and the need to grow up even as they consume a whole lot of liquor.
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a mix of Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, with dollops of 3 Idiots thrown in for good measure. It is all served up in a Karan Johar-style concoction where the backdrops – both indoors and the locations – are infinitely more expressive than the inner worlds of the young characters.
The impulses of the quartet of friends, who predictably include one couple that is on the verge of a lifelong relationship but are either unable or not keen enough to express their love for each other, are hardly explained in logical and convincing terms. As a result, the fragmented storyline hurtles forward only in fits and starts.
The heroine is head over heels in love. The boy she is smitten with is averse to making a commitment. The girl is unable to communicate her true feelings. So you know exactly what the outcome is going to be. They will keep crossing each other’s path until true love is found.
Director Ayan Mukherji, who gave an impressive account of himself in his debut film, Wake Up Sid, appears to have allowed the skills that he displayed the first time around to go into deep slumber.
Not that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a sleeping pill. It is not. But it could certainly have done with a little more narrative verve.
Do make it a point to get into your seat before the show begins. Madhuri Dixit’s item song plays out ten minutes into the film. Watch Ranbir Kapoor match steps with the still-lustrous diva and you know why this guy is special. Watch Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani for him.

According to the report, Salman Khan has been spotted with a blonde girl in Bandra. The mystery girl is none other than Romanian Television actress and anchor Iulia Vantur, whom the actor has known for over two years now.
The report has it that Salman and Iulia have been spotted together almost everyday at a five-star hotel in Bandra.
Salman Khan has in the past dated actresses Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif but has never been public about his relationship.
But going by the recent reports, the Bodyguard actor is serious about taking his relationship to the next level.

What's it about!
Chandu (Nagarjuna) loses his parents at very young age, his mother tells him not to get into relationships, if he does he would feel pain. Chandu grows up to be Casanova, not sticking to any relationship. He is businessman in USA. Nevertheless, he goofs with one agreement with a client that forces him to pay hefty amount in 30 days. His grandparents in India ask him to visit them. He learns that his grandparents have crores of money and he can visit them and take some money to clear off the debt. On his way to India, he meets Sandhya (Nayantara) who is member of Make A Wish foundation. He likes her. His grandparents with love and affection welcome Chandu. Sandhya comes to the village where Chandu is living with grandparents, and they mistake her to be Chandu's wife. To make his grandparents happy, he asks her to pretend as his wife and Sandhya agrees to it. What happens next is the rest of the story.
Analysis
Director Dasaradh who is known to make 'feel-good' dramas has made Greekuveerudu in similar manner. It does offer some emotional scenes, some appreciable moments, catchy songs, but leaves us feeling that it could have been better if handled with more finesse. Because the movie moves on a relatively predictable style. It is as if you have seen one, you have seen them all. The screenplay is uneven and hardly any exciting element in the second half. Then what scores for its advantage? Well, it is the charm of lead actors Nagarjuna and Nayanatara that largely works. Also scenes between Nagarjuna and K Vishwanath are good too. Though it is predictable, it is not boring.
The film has many resemblances to Seetarammayya Gaari Manavaralu and other Telugu films and more importantly French romantic comedy I do (Prête-moi ta main, 2006)
Performances
Nagarjuna is quite good looking, the seasoned actor carries off the role well. His chemistry with Nayanatara is equally nice. Nayanatara looks beautiful in trendy costumes as well as in designer sarees. Vishwanath as grandfather brings dignity to the movie. His role is similar to that of Akkineni's in Seetarammaya Gaari Manavaralu. Sudha makes her presence felt. Brahmanandam and M S Narayana's comedy scenes are irritating. There are plenty of actors but none makes impact.
On technical front, surprisingly, Taman’s music scores. He has given some good numbers. His work stands out in the film. But other technical crew has failed. The CG work and cinematography are below the standard.
Dialogues are good in some portions. Director Dasaradh always writes good lines for emotional scenes. He has again succeeded in getting the emotional moments right. But he should have taken care in screenplay and portions in the second half.
Bottom-line
Greekuveerudu is very plain family drama. Couple of good emotional scenes, catchy numbers by Taman, lead actors' charm and the message of the movie work to its advantage.
