It is said that marriages are once in a lifetime, but what if you didn't get it right the first time. Why not give it a second chance? The Saif-Kareena wedding has been the talk of the town these days and often mentioned in those talks is the fact that, it is Saif Ali Khan's second marriage. Here is a look at some of the successful, controversial and most talked about second marriages of Bollywood.
1. Saif-Kareena
Saif married Amrita Singh in 1991, even before his career began. Amrita was already a successful actor then. They separated in 2004. Saif and Kareena started dating in 2007 and finally got married in 2012. Kareena is good friends with Sara and Ibrahim, Saif's children from his first marriage.

2. 'Mr. Perfectionist' of Bollywood Aamir Khan has also married twice. He was married to his childhood love interest Reena for 15 long years from 1987 to 2002. Reena and Aamir also have two children, Junaid and Ira. Later he married Kiran Rao, the assistant director of his film Lagaan in 2005. Kiran and Aamir have a son- Azad.
3. Dharmendra-Hema Malini
It is said that Hema Malini and Dharmendra fell in love on the sets of 'Tum Haseen Main Jawan'. Dharam was already married and had two sons Sunny and Bobby. Before marriage both they converted to Islam, since Dharmendra's first wife, Prakash Kaur, was not keen on giving him a divorce. The couple has since completed 32 years of marriage and have two daughters Esha and Ahana.
4. Boney Kapoor-Sridevi
One of the biggest producers in Bollywood Boney Kapoor was married to Mona for 8 years. They had two children- Arjun and Anshula. In 1996, he divorced Mona and married Superstar Sridevi. The couple have two daughters, Jhanvi and Khusi.
5.Karishma Kapoor-Sanjay Kapoor
Kareena is not the first Kapoor sister to tie the knot with a man who has been married once already. In 2003, her elder sister Karishma married industrialist Sanjay Kapur. Sanjay was once married to designer and socialite Nandita Mahtani. Karishma and Sanjay now have two kids, Samaira and Kiaan.
6. Raj Kundra- Shilpa Shetty
Raj and Shilpa's wedding was one of the most talked about second marriages of the tinsel town. Prior to this, Raj was married to Kavita Kundra. They also have a daughter together. He divorced Kavita to marry Shilpa Shetty. They have recently been blessed with a baby boy.
7. Sanjay Dutt-Manyata
Sanjay Dutt or Sanju Baba, as he is known to his loved ones, has been married thrice. He married Richa Sharma in 1987. They had a daughter named Trishala. After Richa's death, Sanjay married Rhea Pillai in 1998 but divorced her in 2005. He married Manyata in 2008. She gave birth to the couple's first children together -twins boy and girl- in 2010.
8. Raveena Tandon- Anil Thadani
Raveena Tandon married film distributor Anil Thadani in 2004. Anil was earlier married to Natasha Sippy. Natasha is the daughter of the producer Romu Sippy. The divorce was a controversial affair as the Sippys blamed Raveena for the failure of Natasha and Anil’s relationship. Raveena gave birth to a girl called Rasha in 2005 and a boy named Ranbir in 2007.
9. Shabana Azmi-Javed Akhtar
Lyricist Javed Akhtar and actor Shabana Azmi have been one of the most vocal and socially active couples of the industry. Shabana, well known for her characters in both commercial and parallel cinemas, tied the knot with Javed in 1984. This was Javed's second marriage. He was married to Honey Irani before this. Javed and Honey had two children-Farhan and Zoya.
10. Raj Babbar- Smita Patil
Raj Babbar was married to Nadira Zaheer. The couple had two children, Arya and Juhi. Raj then married actress Smita Patil. Their marriage was very controversial and many feminist organisations termed Smita a 'home-wreaker' after the marriage. Smita died of post-partum complications two weeks after the birth of their son Prateik. Raj subsequently patched up with his first wife.
